Hey! I’m Yifei Wu but you can call me Grace. I come from China and I majored in Advertising in Beijing for my bachelor’s degree. Now I am studying Media, Communications and Critical Practice at LCC. And there are two reasons why I choose to study here.
On the one hand, the courses of MCCP are wonderful and attractive to me, I am looking forward to exploring the media field with my own critical thinkings and some practical ways. For example, the complex relationship between media makers and audiences in our daily life is one of the topics I’m interested in.
On the other hand, I am willing to have a learning experience in a new country. This is my first time studying overseas. London, as the capital of the UK, embraces all kinds of cultures, which has some similarities with Beijing. So it feels familiar to me in a way but brings me a fresh life experience.
In the first two weeks of studying with the mix mode of both remote and in-person, I can watch the lectures over and over again if I can’t understand them well as a foreign student, which makes me feel comfortable. Although there is a lot of reading, I find them very helpful and I can allocate my study time freely during the mix mode!
